ENI is confirming that the three JSA Members that will appear in the "Society" episode of Smallville will be Hawkman, Dr Fate and Stargirl.

Playing Hawkman will be Stargate's Michael Shanks.

Could be good!

I have alot of affection for this show, but I basically find the episodes with non-comic related guests / themes utterly skippable.

I stuck it out for a long time, but the combo of love triangles and prdeictable situations sucked the life out of it for me.Haven't seen any of it in a long time.
Michael Shanks as Hawkman huh?Hope he's bulked up a bit.

Last season was going really good I thought, until Lana showed back up (and the show was green lit for another season), and the progress that was being made ground to a halt for too many episodes before regaining some steam.  This season has started off good, outside of the telepathic Clark in the latest ep.

One of the downfalls of the whole series for me has been Kristin Kruek as Lana. She's nice to look at, but she really can't act.

I didn't mind her, but the Clark/Lana shit just dragged on far too long.  Of course, so has the entire show.  Should have been wrapped up in 6 or 7 seasons.

Mrs 'shake just loves Lois (and so do I for different reasons). She's hanging in there to see her get together with Clark. I hang in there for the special effects.

I hear this. Erica Durance is smokin'.

Smallville has kinda lost me. The Lana-Clark thing dragged on and on and they slowly turfed the adult cast which I actually thought brought a much needed dynamic to the show. Clark needs the grounding of the Kents. Also when John Glover left, I thought the show lost alot of gravitas. I do like Erica Durance (for many reasons) but some of the other additions have been 'meh'. I am looking forward to the JSA episode. I loved Geoff John's Legion ep and hey I've followed him from Stars and Stripe right on through.

Not sure about Michael Shanks as Hawkman but I guess they like to use the Vancouver based actors.

But Hawkman is a huge mo'fo' with bulging muscles. In Hollywood exec vision Shanks is perfect. Michael Clarke Duncan should be Mr Mxytpltk....

I'd love to see MCD beat the hell out of Clark for an episode. Grin

Actually am trying to re-watch these now.  I just finished Season 1, and remembered how much I actually liked it.  I think season 3 or 4 is when it got stale for me.  Heading to the library to check out season 2.

I record this on Foxtel, but only watch a handful of the episodes. This show is a bit like the girl with the curl on her forehead. When it's good, it's good, but when it's bad, it's horrid.
