Precisely, exactly, agreed.
So if I buy 'Star Trek' and it comes with a digital copy, how do I get it on the ipad so I can watch it while I'm on a plane?

the only running one app at time will kill it. They must fix that in the next gen.
the $200 extra for 3g version put it out my range for a graduation gift for my friend in nurse school.
I was going to get her an iphone but she just upgraded to the blackberry curve so that gift would stupid.
oh, well we have an exciting new device for 5 minutes.

the thing looks interesting and may be the start of new techology wave but i will wait till it is not another apple product that is only exclusive to at&t just like the iphone. for i refuse to buy any apple thing that requires making a exclusive deal with at7t so i may just wait till the second gen version of the apple tablet. it looks interesting

Mrs 'shake just got an iphone. Man, what a piece of shit! All she wanted was a custom ring tone. For my Blackberry, I connect it to my PC and copy the song to the music directory. Then highlight the song and select the option to "make it my ringtone". Done in about 2 mins. For the iphone I have to install itunes. Then it wants me to register the device. Okay fine. Then it wants me to create an itunes store account. No thanks. Then I have to add the song file to itunes. But first I have to create a new profile for the phone. Then I need to "convert acc" or somesuch. Then open the file in explorer. Then change the file type. Then remove the original file from itunes. Then re-add the file to the iphone profile under ringtones. If there's an easier way that doesn't involve downloading and paying for a song from the itunes store that I already own then let me know. Aye carumba!

You might not have to actually have to buy anything, but you do need to enter a CC to set up the iTunes store. There a few functional things you can't do without an account, such as download album art. i don't own an iPhone though, so I possibly don't know what I'm talking about.

Yes, I discovered this when setting up the shuffles I got for the kids for Xmas. Wasn't really happy about having to do that.
