Well, I've gotten shipping notification, so I'm now officially waiting for a box containing most of DCUC wave 10:  Robotman, Forager, Beast Boy, Man-Bat, Power Girl, and Joker.

A sweet box indeed! Nice going Raj.

I got my Ronan (see above) so now all I'm waiting on is the Face-off Captain America figure.

I have a few shipments in transit at the moment.

I'm waiting on the Wolverine Origins roadside brawl or whatever that is (gets me the Jim Lee Sabertooth w. short hair), and the giant battle packs from Marvel U (the goliath/iron-man non-variant, and the bucky-cap/giant-man skrull) from ebay.

I've got another huge order from BBTS (below) that's been trapped at Sydney airport since Thursday due to issues with flights getting grounded/cancelled, and a huge amazon order (also below) that's the result of the LCS losing the details of an order form 5 months odd back that would be costing them $1.5k - 2k in sales (I figure I checked a couple times and they hadn't lost the order details, now they've lost them, and I'm not waiting another 5 months to be in the same place, so with the dollar high, amazon got that lot, I tried).

I figure I'll be mostly tapped out for a little bit after this lot, but it'll keep me busy through to early next year with reading. Then I just need to create book cases.

BBTS order:

That's one hell of an order, though to be honest, my pre-order list on Amazon is probably bigger  Grin

Being honest, I think I should have broken some of that up a bit more, but then the dollar is doing well, and I don't want to suffer the wrath of Amazon's inability to restock on some things, so it seemed like the best solution. Also, I think that this order may be the thing that stops me from supporting the LCS anymore. Or switching to the other one.

Also, I think that this order may be the thing that stops me from supporting the LCS anymore. Or switching to the other one.

For hardcovers in particular, I can't justify LCS costs. For the majority of trades, I can. The differential isn't that much in my experience.

My current Amazon in-transit/pre-order list:

Scalped Vol. 5: High Lonesome
Marvel Encyclopedia
New X-Men: Ultimate Collection, Vol. 2
Hellboy Library Edition Volume 3: Conqueror Worm And Strange Places
Jonah Hex: Lead Poisoning
Justice League: The Complete Series
Tom Strong Deluxe Edition Vol. 2
Batman & Robin Vol. 1: Batman Reborn Deluxe HC
Jonah Hex: Six Gun War
Criminal: The Deluxe Edition HC
Northlanders Vol. 3: Blood in the Snow
Irredeemable Vol 2
Freakangels Volume 3 Limited Edition
Seven Soldiers of Victory Book One
The Mutineer: Rants, Ravings, and Missives from the Mountaintop 1977-2005
Modern Masters Volume 23: Darwyn Cooke
G.I. JOE: COBRA (G. I. Joe (Graphic Novels))
Captain America: The Death Of Captain America Omnibus HC
Incognito
Batman: The Brave and the Bold
X-Men: Mutant Massacre HC
Saga of the Swamp Thing Book Two
Superman/Supergirl: Maelstrom
DC Classics Library: Shazam! Monster Society of Evil
Blackhawk: Blood & Iron
Invincible Iron Man Omnibus, Vol. 1
DC Universe: Origins
Jonah Hex: No Way Back HC
Scalped Vol. 6: The Gnawing
Batwoman: Elegy HC

I think I must be the last of the roll 'em up and stick 'em in your back pocket kinda guy on AFB as I just don't by trades and I only rarely get HCs.

Holy snapping duck shit!!Between Westy and Dozy i think Amazon will be cleaned out.

Can't speak for others but when you live hundreds of Kms from any sort of LCS like i do Trades are the more financially viable way to go.And if i can get them in HC then that's my personal collection preference.
As i've said here before what i miss is going in and leafing through other titles and finding new stuff to get into. Now i'm always months behind everyone else as far as stoylines go,which can be frustrating at times.

Yeah I'm starting to find that difficult. When I got back into comics at the start of last year, it wasn't really an issue because I had a lot of catch up to do, and from what I could tell, there was a lot of shit to be avoided. Now I've got my favourite writers who's stuff I want to snap up as soon as it comes out, but try to resist the urge and wait. Esp. Brubaker and Brian Wood.

I used to get my stuff posted 'surface mail' from the US which was really really cheap but it meant I was 2-3 months behind everyone else here and I got tired of going on line or Wizard magazine revealing everything as soon as it hit the stands. I had some major storylines ruined for me.

Plus, generally, I just don't like trades. I have such great memories of flipping through my comics as I walked home from the newsagent. I just love 'comics'. I can appreciate a good HC, but it usually has to be new material for me. I've long since stopped duplicating a series because it was came out in a nice HC. Though I know a guy who used to sell his comics as soon as the HC came out. To each their own I guess?

Eeeeee! Big order from BBTS arrived today containing about 24 figs/statues and 19 trades/hardcovers.

I've taken some photos of them all, but haven't got time tonight to get them into display cabinets, or put the photos up. MAssively excited though.
