Good thoughts AQ. What DCD was your fave male figure? That got cut off.

Also, was DCUC Wave 5 '09 or '08?

2008 if I recall correctly.

I'm really expecting DCD Creeper, Booster and Beetle... So far in DCD G'nort still in the lead.
From DCUC: I'm really expecting Green Arrow, Robot Man and Beast boy. So far, Hawkman and Dr. Fate are the big winners.

Females:
From DCD only expectin Fire actually, since Arisia is not due until next year. Best yet: Ice. Like her better than Barda (I know, I know) just don't like that New Gods style, clashes with my displays.
From DCUC, not expecting anyone just now, since I think Katma Tui is for next year too. but the best so far is Hawkgirl, no doubts.

I believe that wave 5 hit stores in February.  Wave 4 was the end of last year, but our very own Andy from AFB began his wave 5 reviews in Feb.  If the Metallo BAF was from '08, then my nomination for best BAF of '09 would have to be Kalibak.

If the Justice Wave 8 Supergirl came out this year, she is a contender as well.

Batgirl and Supergirl was last year unfortunately.Shame though cause they are 2 of my faves too.

Not ready to compile anything yet myself as i have very few 2009 releases so far, will have more towards the final quarter.

Wow, if Justice wave 8 was last year, then not much from DCD has actually been memorable to me this year.  History of DC Black Lightning looks very promising on the male side, female would probably be the upcoming Fire figure.

Best Male 6" Figure

BATMAN
DC Universe Gotham City 5 box set.
I’m torn between the yellow bat symbol and the retro bat symbol, but I like the black and gray Batman with the yellow bat the best.

Best Female 6" Figure

Catwoman
DC Universe Gotham City 5 box set
I always liked her in purple, only draw back is they did not use the knee high boots she wore with that outfit and they could have done a new head with the cowl instead of the goggles but still a good figure.

Best 1:6 Scale Figure

Hot Toys The Dark Knight
I can’t afford these but they have great detail, more so than the DCD ones I do collect.

Best 3 3/4" Scale Figure

The Punisher
Marvel Universe
I have the original with the white gloves and boots.  A new version with a new head and black gloves and boots is coming and it looks great.

Best Series / Wave

BATMAN Brave and the Bold.
I hate the holes, but you have to admit they add a lot of play value.  There is also a great mix of heroes and villains and the best part is that unlike DCUC and DCUIH you can find them in stores.

Nice choices there FlaBat! Hot Tiys 1:6 figs are hard to beat.

Maybe we should start compiling a list of the waves of stuff that have come out as I always forgot what came out when?

Definitely going to have to put DCUC Wave 9 Green Arrow in there for best 6" Male Figure of the Year. I was expecting the Black Canary from the same wave to knock the DCD Big Barda out of the the women's 6" slot, but the few niggles with the funky wash in her hair and face paint apps mean Barda's still winning in my book.

Time to get this happening?  Cheesy

Should we also do a summary of some of the stuff that came out in case people forget stuff they'd otherwise vote for?

I'm getting a post together of my own picks, and I'll use that at the kick-off for getting the polls going.

Good stuff, Andy.  Can't argue with any of your choices.

To add to what I'd already listed earlier, I'd go with M1 Customs' Doom Patrol as custom of the year.  Don't know if he posts here, but it's the best I've seen in an outstanding year of customs.  6" wave for me would be DCUC wave 11.  I had most of the wave in 2009, and I'm a huge Green Lantern guy, so such a lantern-themed wave holds a special place for me.

Early contender for 6" (or so) wave of 2010 is Mattel's WWE Elite Collection.  Picked up a few of the first wave yesterday, and they are outstanding.
