Review Collection

[The Articulated One]

You know, as someone who writes a lot of reviews (about 50 in 3 months, and I just started!) over at www.articulateddiscussion.com, I'm always looking for places to "advertise" them. I've managed to get a lot (at least I think it's a lot) of hits in the past 3 months that the site has been active, but it's still a hassle to hit 12 different forums to let people know I've posted a review.

What I'm getting at, is that it would be nice if there was one place where every toy reviewer on the web came to advertise their new reviews. The guys over at fanmode.net kind of do this, but I have a feeling they still miss out on some things.

So what I'm REALLY getting at, is that maybe you should start a part of the board where people can post/link to reviews, and try to turn it into the number one resource for such a thing. I know I've seen sections on other boards that weren't successful trying this, but you never know what might work.

That's a great idea. Ideas people on the form this could take? I was already planning on doing a links section for "friend" sites.

The name that immediately pops into my mind is something lame like "Around the Traps" which could house such a thing, but that name doesn't necessarily fit with the theme we're looking for.

Need other brains here, or something will pop into mine at some point, I'm sure.

By the way, it's great to have you here! You'll get a welcome thread but I do love your site!

Let me fiddle with how it would work and put some ideas out there. It would have to be something that everyone contributed to, but if anyone has the motivation to be the driver for this board, which I think is a brilliant idea and could really be a signature thing for the forum, this is a good time to put your hand up.

This is a pretty good idea.

You could also have a round-up of links for deal/sales, which would be great for us Aussies, especially. E.g. this one on the home page of the Hobbyco site: http://www.hobbyco.com.au/ (that's an Elite Tie Interceptor for half price next Tuesday)

"Room with a Review" is going to up shortly, as a part of a Collector's Resource Center with boards for checklists, etc.. Stay tuned.

We need a better name than "Collector's Resource Center" for the Category though. Ideas anyone?
