Plus much more! http://www.actionfigureblues.com/2009/04/wonder-twins-powers-activate.htmlIf you want Gleek you have to go to SDCC, but the rest of it will alll be available online afterwards, which is good news for us internationals. Much screaming everywhere about Gleek and much whining at Facebook about the exclusives.

I think the screaming is justified. Wtf is the point of having the Wonder Twins if you don't have their monkey? It'd be like having all the X-Statix without Doop. Or the Tanner family without ALF. I mean make that fucking bird exclusive to the SDCC set if people attending need something special.

I have to preface this by saying I don't like Gleek so actually am happier to get a set without him...... I think the fact that there's only one bit in the whole lot that's actually "exclusive" is pretty cool. I'm sure there was some requirement on Mattel to provide something exclusive and for it to be something more significant than the bird and water, and actually I'd be more pissed to miss out on them. I mean remember the Ray / Shayera / Someone JLU exclusive that alot of ppl have never managed to track down? At least we can get the JLU item online. But I am sure this is a real slam to passionate Gleek fans. I just don't get that there are passionate Gleek fans.

Scooby and the Gang without Scrappy.....oh wait
I've never understood the nature of these exclusives. Doesn't it just reduce potential revenue for Mattel?

I don't understand the retailer exclusives, either. I don't see who benefits if the retailer concerned doesn't actually get the stock in.

Gleek is kinda forgetful, to me anyways, I forgot all about him until I saw him ... but I was hankering for the Wonder Twins and I love the bucket of water part - its perfection!!!! I'd be glad just to get the twins right now ... but i see a lot of peoples points about Gleek, its like getting Shazzan's Chuck and Nancy without Kaboobie Or Jace & Jan without Blip!!!!

I think in the US Wal-mart is very powerful and so they demand exclusives to carry lines, however that doesn't mean that every store is required to carry them. Ridiculous I know.

I found the Walmart toy sections to be very bleaah! Only one was any good. The staff were pretty average too. I often ask instores if they have additional cases of figures out the back and at every Walmart store I went to I got the same response "All the stock we have would be out on the shelves". The problem with that is the space allocated isn't very big which presumes they aren't getting more than a few cases of anything.

During my "starving artist" years in L.A. I worked in the toy dept in Target for a time. People would come in and ask " do you have the Barbie with the blue hair that gets her period and gushes real blood?", and of everyone I worked with I was the only fool that would actually climb the completely unsafe rigging to go up four levels of scaffold and rummage precariously through boxes to find it, while everyone else would either go back and light up a cigarette or better yet break open some packets of M&Ms and steal them and the go back and say "Like, no, we don't have it, sorry......" Gave me the shits, it did. Then one day they all got caught stealing the M&M's on video tape and got the sack. SUCKAS!

It's hard enough for people living in the US to get these 'exclusives' let alone when you're on the other side of the planet. I'm never gonna get the Kazar ML boxed set without selling my soul.

Hahahahahaha, I've worked in retail before and I found most of the staff to some of the most gifted thieves in the world. I could write a book on some of the scams I have been witness to.

That's on my list, but not so high because they did a Sheena that didn't really look like Sheena

For a while at my local Toys Rnt Us, there was virtually no chance of getting short packed/chase figures because the staff would loot them in the back room! Andy - But the Kazar set comes with Zabu!!!

I have this theory that you haven't really lived properly until you've a) lived in share accommodation and b) worked in retail or hospitality Working as a manager of a range of people, young and old, I have found this theory to work every time. Find me someone who isn't resilient and can't deal with life not going their way all the time and they fail the a and b test.

Hah True!!! Working in a comic book store left me with many stories. Pigeon Boy, Painted Strumpet, Vlad the Homeless Misoginyst for starters! Tyroc and I shared a place for two years....so much stash for one poor house! The neighbour was this nosey woman who used to trap Tyroc on the way to the bus stop. I avoided it because I could get to my car quickly, when she caught me one day she asked what I did for a living so I said "I work in the adult video industry....please don't judge me" and she never spoke to me again
