That is a very nice piece.  Think I'm gonna be picking these up.

I want to see villains of the DCU as a companion though.  Ya know, have GL one month followed by Sinestro....Aquaman followed by Black Manta or Ocean Master(how cool would that be?)

I mean, Marvel has a Tiger Shark bust out, Is DCD really that unsure of their following that we only see the very top tier of characters?

I was a little disappointed, I liked the earlier HAl bust released with most of the JLA .... Most....

Its the green flame that should have made this one go off! But the paint looks a little tame.

But I suppose it would be a great companion to the Jade bust.

I have yet to decide.....  Tongue

Good choice - I'm a fan as you can tell from the article.

The depth of the Marvel busts is amazing. Some are downright obscure. I guess we have to give DCD props for taking the Women of the DCU line past the A-list (Mera!) and as I said on the blog I am really hoping that this line goes the same way as opposed to stopping at the first tier. The villians especially need to be explored. While I'm not down for Darkseid I would certainly go for Sinestro, Black Manta, Bane, etc.

I do like the DC "men" busts but it's another line and I get too many things as it is so I'm gonna pass.

As an aside, Bowen has only a limited time left on his contract with Marvel, hence the large volume of output we're currently getting.

Oh dear, I hope we get a few more key characters before they finish. We need Valkyrie, Moondragon and more, more, more!

So is the licence not being renewed?

Not that I'm aware of. Apparently he negotiated some contract to produce X number of statues and busts and because it took so long to get underway his timeframe has been reduced, hence the cranking out of so much stuff. Each variation of a statue counts as 1 less he has to produce. For example the new Hulk statue has been produced as Green, Classic Grey, Red, Planet and Maestro.

Have you seen the new She-Hulk statue from Sideshow? It's the next one in the Adam Hughes series and it's amazing. The pose is very different to what I was expecting. There's not many pics at their site but if you watch the Hughes edition of 'Sideshow TV' they show lots of pics.

Yeah, it's a video blog about various stuff.

http://www.sideshowtoy.com/?page_id=6649&source=043009news&utm_source=newsletter-pers-043009news&utm_medium=email

Hughes said he wanted to keep the cheesecake of the series intact but just didn't want a 'pose' but he wanted a little fun as well. The final product is "What would happen if a 5' tall size 2 girl suddenly had to transform into a 6'8" powerhouse?"
