....and it's all Toy Guy's fault!

I managed to restrain myself and avoid him yesterday. I am on record here somewhere saying that I'm not really into this line but would find the Aparo statue hard to pass up - and there it was ON SALE. However it was the start of the shopping journey and I didn't know what else I might find I and REALLY, REALLY, wanted to be good........

and then today, while I was working hard being all conferenc-y and seminar-y, I get hassling texts from TG about how I really shouldn't have left it, and it's such a good price, and.... ooooooooooooh!

So now I own the damn thing and if it survives the flight home you'll see pics.  Tongue

Curse you, TG!!  Wink

Just think of TG as those little voices of your conscience constantly nagging you.Only in this case it was the part of your brain that controls your Toy OCD the voices were speaking to.

Congrats on the score btw, keen to see the pics.It was a good choice.

Nice pick-up!

If there's one thing I've learnt it's that if you see something you want and you have the money then get it without hesitation. Too many times I've ummed and ahhed and gone back to find something sold. When I was in Brisbane, 'Comics Etc' had the Bowen Juggernaut statue and I balked at the $400 price tag and when I went back it had sold. I really wanted that statue.... Sad

Sucker. (what'd it cost you?)

$70 marked down from $120. I thought that was a price that I'd end up kicking myself for passing up.

Now it just has to make it safely home. Has to go in the suitcase as I already have hand luggage (laptop) but I'm not too worried since it's very tightly packed in styrofoam etc.

Assuming it all survives pix of my Brissy haul will be forthcoming.

They're not as bad as they used to be. From my US trip I brought back 4 DC busts, 4 mugs and a jar of peanut butter & jelly (in the same jar!) and it all got back intact.

Yeah, I'd pay that for the Mazz statue, easily.

What can I say, I'm just a collector too!

Btw. Andy's influence forced me to buy the Batman bust that came out last week.

He forced me! It was brutal. I was just standing there in the LCS with the bust in hand and Andy looked over at it and I saw that look in his eyes... It was my preciossssssssssssssss .... Mine! I had to get it.

Curses to you Andy.

Wow, talk about revisionist history!!! I don't think I even realised you were buying that until it was paid for! I didn't send you any hassling texts urging you to buy it, did I? Sheesh!!  Wink
