Hey congrats Andy,i got my hands on these figs over in the US and they are cool for the nostalgic factor so i'm glad you're happy with them.I do agree though Jayna's got a seriously overly surprised expression happening but still she's a decent fig.
Had a play with the Space Monkey too, meh, not missing much there.

Yeah, Jayna either looks like she's been recast as Asian (which I am sure would be likely if Didio ever brought her into the modern DCU) or like someone just stuck something in her behind. She does look pretty happy....

Thanks for the post Mr. AFB!  From the moment I read you were getting this set I have been waiting with baited breath for your write-up of it!  And the post about how fast they came in with the picture was such a tease, lol.  I received my set a day after you got yours (kinda funny that it made it to Aussie before it did to Mississippi!), and man this is just a great set.  In all honesty, I'm not a huge Wonder Twins fan.  I like them, but I am not one of the people who have been begging for WT figures for years.  Had this been a normal 2-pack release (ie. Adam Strange & Starfire) I may have even passed on it, but after seeing the video of the packaging on mattycollector I knew I had to get this set.

I've read alot of people say that they feel the packaging is a bit over the top, but I love it.  To me, it really does a great job of capturing the "feel" of the Wonder Twins, and of their run on the Superfriends.  I knew the packaging would be awesome from the video, but it actually blew me away when I took it out of the box.  It looks so much better in person, and this set has already become one of my favorite pieces in my collection.  Being an MIP collector, I love package design such as this (and the SDCC Hal Jordans) that actually kinda encourage you to keep the figures sealed.

Another thing that I love about this set is that once the slip cover is removed, the figures are actually exposed.  Again, being an MIP guy, being able to touch the figures without opening them is a cool little touch!  I think I may be the only other person in the world who really doesn't care about having a Gleek.  After I saw his sculpt, I thought it would be cool to add him to my collection, but not at the prices he is going for.  Easy pass for me.  Overall I am super pleased with this set!

I agree with you bmac, I think the packaging is great fun. Of course it's over the top - it's the bloody Wondertwins for pete's sake!!  Grin
