Hi all, it's been a while since I was on these here boards, rl suddenly got very busy for a month (holiday, yaay! lots of job apps and no interviews, booo).

At any rate, I was reading through some recently located Impulse back issues last night when I noticed an advert for some rather snazzy YJ statues.  Being a massive Impulse (and YJ generally) fan my eyes practically did that bug out thing you mostly get in cartoons.

Has anyone seen or does anyone own these YJ statues:
Superboy:

Robin:

Impulse:

Holy crap that's a good Bart likeness.
And quite honestly, I want the lot.

Wow, never knew those existed, and I thought I knew everything DCD had ever done!

That Impulse statue is the pick of the lot. The other two don't quite nail the character IMO but that IS Bart!

Nice!

I remember them coming out (at least a couple of them anyhoo).
Because they're not big sellers you may find some stores could still have them for sale.

Yeah i remember when these were solicited, didn't seem like there was much hype about them back then. They do show up on Ebay every so often for a reasonable price.

OMG. The Robin and Superboy statues on ebay are going for over a hundred quid at buy it now.  Impulse is on auction and is at 22 quid now, but then shipping from america is over 30 quid..
I think I'll have to be patient.

A hundred pounds seems pretty enthusiastic. Is that the bidding price or is it just a "Buy it now"?

100 quid is for buy it now.  admittedly they are from the US so there's a currency conversion issue, but still.

That Impulse statue is tempting. I'm not going to get in a bidding war with you if I go for it, am I Saranga?

Hi guys!

I THINK one of the comic shops near my mom has/had the set of three in stock. I'll check to see if they still do when I go down to see her this week.

I'll post the results and the price when I get back!

I did in fact win the Impulse statue for a price I am happy to call reasonable. Getting it shipped to my parents and the rerouted here to avoid the huge shipping charge. I think this will be my birthday present (Oct 16) from my parents.  Grin

I will be sure to pictify and review when he arrives!
